This year Paul Hassell gained 2 acceptances while David Byrne had one accepted. As Edinburgh only selects just over 200 images per year gaining an acceptance alone is an achievement in itself.
David Byrne has received 2 awards at this years Alba Exhibition. ‘Storm over New Brighton’ was awarded a Bronze Medal with ‘Arctic Winter Beach’ gaining a Highly Commended, all together gaining 6 acceptances.
David Byrne has been awarded Barbie Lindsay’s FBPE EFIAP/s MPAGB Selectors Medal and Highly commended in this years salon along with 7 acceptances.
David Byrne was awarded a Judges UPI Ribbon by Ian Ledgard for ‘New Brighton Lighthouse‘
‘Silent Hope‘ was awarded SDF Gold Medal (Denmark Photographic Federation) in the Golden Digital Salon for David Byrne.
‘Beacon‘ was awarded a PAGB Ribbon for David Byrne at the Smethwick FIAP International Salon
David Byrne received a Highly Commended for ‘Frontier Man’ at the British Open Salon.
David Byrne, who is solely concentrating on British competitions over the last year, has received three awards in this years Solihull salon. ‘Beacon’ was Commended ‘Balestra Maneuver’ was awarded a Highly commended ‘Pub Brawler’ was awarded a Highly commended
David Byrne have been fortunate enough to bag four awards at the 3rd Exhibition of Photographic Art 2013. he scooped the FIAP Gold medal in the mono section for ‘The Copse’, ‘What Happens Next?’ won a NSFF Gold Medal (Norwegian Photographic Society) for best action and ‘Cross Road’ also won an Gold NSFF medal for best landscape. Finally ‘The Copse’ also won a NOFK medal for the Chairman’s Choice award. Altogether David had 6 photos accepted into the exhibition.
