"Soho Foundry" by Oosoom at en.wikipedia
Soho Foundry is a factory created in 1795 by Matthew Boulton and James Watt and their sons Matthew Robinson Boulton and James Watt Jr. at Smethwick for the manufacture of steam engines. Now owned by Avery Weigh-Tronix, it is used for the manufacture of weighing machines. Andrew, a former curator, takes you on a journey through the history of the site. Rare images from history, as well as his own modern images create a remarkable presentation. Journey through the old foundry as if exploring a lost world. A haunting and beautiful presentation accompanied by video and music.
Andrew, who has been to Cannock PS previously, has been presenting public lectures and staging exhibitions for nearly 40 years, and has participated in over 4,000 events. He has organised and funded many public activities in support of Birmingham Museum of Science & Industry, Soho House Museum and the Avery Historical Museum.
