Carole Mathews recently spotted a photographic competition called the Hornbill Challenge 2012 which is sponsored by Hornbill Electrical Control Systems and hosted by Neath Photographic Society. As this was a competition with a monetary prize Carole decided to give it a go. There was a total prize pot of £350, with £200 being awarded to the overall winning image, with a further £50 being awarded to the best ‘Industrial Landscape’, ‘Natural History’ and ‘Monochrome’ image.
Carole entered four monochrome images and had three acceptances. She was very pleased when ‘Groynes‘ was awarded the Best Monochrome Image, with a prize of £50.
The total acceptances for CPS was 6.
