From Dawn’s website:

Since childhood I have been interested in both photography and nature. Inevitably the two interests combined into a passion for nature photography.

I became a member of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS) in 1989 and earned my Licenciateship in 1990, my Associateship in 1994 and in May 2006 I was awarded a Fellowship, the highest distinction awarded by the Society. Both the Associateship and the Fellowship were achieved in the Nature category.  In 2011 I was awarded the DPAGB and in 2012 achieved EFIAP status.

I am an active member of the RPS Nature Group. During the 20 or so years during which I have been a member, I have made many new friends from within the membership – excellent nature photographers who have offered encouragement and advice. I first joined the Nature Group Committee in 1993 and became its Chairman from 2001 to 2003. I am currently Editor of the group’s magazine ‘The Iris’ – a post I have held for eleven years.
