The MCPF achieved a great result at the 2017 PAGB Inter-Federation Competitions. Colour Prints 1st Place Mono Prints 1st Place General PDIs 3rd Place Nature PDIs 7th Place Individual Awards were won by the following MCPF photographers:- Silver Medals: Ralph Duckett David Byrne Paul Hassell PAGB Ribbons: Patrick Hickey Les Beardmore Mike Sharples A total of 46 MCPF images was chosen for the PAGB Travelling Exhibition.
Those of you who attended the AGM recently will be aware that it was mentioned that there will be two new competitions on the programme for next season. They are the “Photo Ryder Cup” and “Peer’s Pics”, introduced by our Programme Secretary Graham Orgill. See below for word documents that Graham has prepared to explain the format of each. Cannock PS had a great championships this year finishing joint 3rd in the first round to go through automatically to next years finals without the need for pre-qualification. We finished 8th in the end out of a possible 38 clubs who attended and over 1000+ clubs who were eligible to enter the competition, so no mean feat!! Well done all! Also our member David Byrne was also awarded 2 personal awards for his images, ‘White Smoke‘ and ‘Old Bothy‘ used in the competition.
Lloyd Scott took the Mono Print Trophy at this years MCPF Photofolio Competition, Paul Hassell gained 2 MCPF Medals and Peter Clark and David Byrne collected Certificates of Merit. Full results can be found here
