Four Corners

The last official meeting of the season involved the voting for the Four Corners competition. Unfortunately, we were down to three clubs this year but, nevertheless, it was a good competition and Cannock came out winners. Brevard (Florida) came second, followed by Rochester (New York), making their debut. The Best Image was a tie between Carl Mason’s ‘Is this our train, Dad’ and ‘Grandpa Elliot’ by Marc Szczesny of Brevard. PAGB awards John Cartlidge

Our Chairman, John Cartlidge , was recently awarded the prestigious APAGB award for “Meritorious Service” to photography. This is a greatly respected acknowledgement of the time and effort that he has invested over the last 30 years or so. John joined Cannock PS in 1980 and became a committee member in 1982. Midphot Results are in

Cannock PS had great success in this years Midland Counties Competition ‘Midphot’. Carl Mason was awarded a medal for ‘Best Colour Print‘ for his image ‘Run Away‘. Paul Reynolds was awarded two judges medals from Bob Moore and Paul Keene for his images ‘The Look’ and ‘Bright Eyes’. David Ray and David Byrne both recieved Highly Commendeds and Carl Mason, Paul Reynolds and David Byrne also gained Commendeds. Full results are available here
